Bluff Creek Church, Ike Damage restoration part 1

Bluff Creek Church and school built in 1895. Building sustained severe damage in Fall of 2008. Winds from Hurricane Ike blew structure off it's blocks 3 feet to the North. Front gable was blown out the roof damaged and building was at a 30 degree lean to the North.

A D6 dozer with apparatus attached to the blade was used to reach eave of structure was used to push back into position and then stabilized.








Post and beam construction was used inside to plumb the building. Metal plates and bolts were then attached to the building. Church was jacked up and blocked underneath and leveled. Project was then finished out and painted.
